Pre-Wiring Safety Precautions

1. The module contains electrostatic sensitive components; wear anti-static wristbands before any wiring operation to prevent PCB damage.

2. Cut off the 24VDC total power supply of the control cabinet completely, confirm no residual voltage on all terminal terminals.

3. Separate power cables, analogue signal cables and CAN bus communication cables during wiring to minimize electromagnetic crosstalk; analogue signals use shielded twisted-pair cables.

4. Maximum wire cross-section for terminal connection is limited to 2.5 mm² solid copper wire.

Step-by-Step Wiring Procedures

1. DC Power Wiring

Connect 18–32 VDC power source to the dedicated power terminal block on the module bottom, strictly distinguish positive (+) and negative (-) poles, fully tighten terminal screws to eliminate loose contact risk.

2. CAN Bus Communication Wiring

Use twisted-pair cable for dual CAN bus wiring between this extension module and Norisys main controller; install 120Ω terminal matching resistor at the last module of the bus trunk to ensure signal integrity.
