B&R 8BVI0110HWSS.000-1 Input & Output Specifications

1. Power Input

Main DC Bus Input

Operating voltage range: 315–800 VDC; built-in bus capacitance: 330 µF.

Control 24 VDC Auxiliary Input

Rated voltage: 25 VDC with ±1.6% tolerance; input capacitance: 23.5 µF; maximum basic power consumption: 18 W; fitted with 250 mA self-resetting electronic slow-blow fuse.

Encoder Power Supply Input

Encoder supply power is calculated as PSMC=19 V multiplied by encoder operating current.

2. Digital Trigger Inputs

Two galvanically isolated sink-type trigger channels; rated 24 VDC with 30 VDC maximum withstand voltage.

Logic thresholds: low level below 5 V, high level above 15 V; internal hardware filtering is integrated.

Signal delay: 52 µs±0.5 µs on rising edges, 53 µs±0.5 µs on falling edges.

3. Communication Input Interfaces

EnDat 2.2 encoder interface based on RS485 physical layer, supporting up to 6.25 Mbit/s baud rate for position signal reception.

POWERLINK backplane bus receives motion instructions and parameter configuration data.

Reserved expansion backplane port supports multi-axis synchronous linkage expansion.

4. Main Motor Power Output

Single 3-phase U/V/W/PE servo motor output terminal block; rated continuous power: 11 kW, continuous RMS phase current:15.1 A, peak RMS current:37.7 A.

Max output frequency: 598 Hz; optional switching frequencies: 5 kHz,10 kHz,20 kHz.

Embedded protection against short circuit, overload and ground fault.

5. Auxiliary 24 VDC DC Output

Two independent output channels; output voltage varies with DC bus voltage: linear regulation at 260–315 VDC bus, stable 24 VDC (±6%) output for 315–800 VDC bus.

Each channel supports maximum 350 mA load, with short-circuit and overload protection.

6. Holding Brake Output

Dedicated drive output for motor holding brakes, equipped with open-circuit detection, overload and short-circuit protection.

7. Status & Feedback Output

Hardware fault status signal output; real-time operating status feedback transmitted via POWERLINK bus; EnDat interface outputs high-precision encoder position feedback signals.

Daily Maintenance of B&R 8BVI0110HWSS.000-1

1. Weekly Visual Inspection

Examine the servo drive exterior for dust, oil stains and blocked heat dissipation openings.

Inspect all wiring terminals for looseness, oxidation and burn signs, and check cables for insulation cracking and aging deterioration.

Verify the status indicators to ensure normal operation without continuous fault alarms.

2. Cleaning Maintenance (1–3 Month Cycle)

Disconnect the DC bus main power and 24 V control power, and wait at least 10 minutes for full capacitor discharge before any cleaning work.

Clean heat sinks and ventilation passages with dry compressed air (0.2–0.4 MPa); water, alcohol and corrosive detergents are strictly prohibited.

Maintain a clean cabinet air filter to ensure unobstructed heat dissipation and prevent temperature-induced power derating.

3. Quarterly Electrical Connection Inspection

Retighten power terminals, encoder cables, brake lines and I/O connectors to avoid poor contact.

Check the integrity of encoder cable shielding and grounding, and adopt single-point shielding grounding to suppress electromagnetic interference.

Confirm the PE protective ground connection is solid and reliable.

4. Daily Operating Environment Check

Maintain operational ambient conditions: temperature 0–55℃, humidity 5%–90% (non-condensing).

Keep the drive free from conductive dust, corrosive gas, oil mist and strong electromagnetic interference.

Ensure the mounting base is stable to prevent severe vibration during long-term operation.

5. Continuous Operation Monitoring

Monitor the drive surface temperature in real time, with the maximum allowable operating temperature below 75℃.

Document recurring alarms including overload, over-temperature and overcurrent, and adjust operating load parameters in a timely manner.

Regularly verify the stability of 24 V auxiliary power and DC bus voltage.

6. Long-term Shutdown and Restart Maintenance

Cut off both main and control power if the drive is idle for more than one week, and take sealing measures against dust and moisture.

Before restarting after long standby periods, inspect the insulation resistance of power cables and motor windings, clean internal dust, and complete no-load trial operation.

7. Operational Prohibitions & Precautions

Unauthorized disassembly of internal power modules and circuit boards is forbidden, as it will void the product warranty.

Avoid frequent power cycling; maintain a minimum 3-minute interval between power-off and power-on.

Never hot-plug encoder, bus and power connectors during powered operation.

8. Fault Maintenance Management

Record fault codes completely once protective alarms are triggered, eliminate potential faults before resetting and restarting, and refrain from forced startup under abnormal conditions.

Regularly inspect internal fuses and power components if overcurrent faults occur frequently.
