Input: Single or three-phase 220–240 VAC main power supply; freely configurable digital control inputs for drive enable, travel limit switches and trigger commands; multi-type encoder feedback interfaces supporting incremental encoder, resolver and Hall sensor signals; communication ports supporting EtherCAT, CANopen and Modbus protocols.

Installation Method for Kollmorgen PRD-B040EAIZ-C2

This SERVOSTAR CD servo drive requires vertical panel mounting inside an enclosed electrical cabinet with IP20 protection. Horizontal or inclined installation is not allowed to ensure natural convection cooling. Reserve minimum clearance: 50 mm above, 30 mm below and 20 mm between neighboring devices. Do not mount it close to transformers, contactors and other high-interference components.

The operating temperature range is 0 ℃ to 40 ℃ with 5%–95% non-condensing humidity. Performance derating is required above 1000 meters altitude.

Disconnect all power and wear an ESD wrist strap before installation to avoid electrostatic damage. Secure the drive firmly on the cabinet mounting plate for good EMC grounding and vibration resistance.

Arrange adequate routing space for power cables, motor cables, encoder and communication wires. Keep high-power cables separated from signal cables and avoid lengthy parallel routing. Apply 360° shield grounding for signal cables as specified.

Perform wiring following official schematics after installation. Fasten terminals to the required torque and complete circuit inspection to rule out short circuits and reversed wiring prior to power-on.

Regularly monitor cabinet ventilation and operating temperature during continuous operation. Cut off all power and wait for full capacitor discharge before disassembly or replacement.
