Triconex 3703E Standard Wiring & Connection Method
1. Backplane Power & Bus Connection
Insert the 3703E module into the designated I/O slot of the Tricon SIS rack; the chassis backplane automatically supplies -24VDC power and internal TMR bus communication, no additional power wiring is required;
Tighten the front panel locking screws to ensure reliable electrical contact between the module and backplane.
2. External Termination Panel (ETP) Wiring
The 3703E module connects to the dedicated external termination panel via a factory-specified shielded ribbon cable; all field sensor wiring is uniformly arranged on the ETP terminal blocks;
Classify 16 input channels into independent signal groups according to system design requirements.

3. Field Analog Sensor Wiring
Connect 0–5VDC / 0–10VDC voltage-type transmitters to the corresponding ETP input terminals using shielded twisted-pair cables;
Power cables and weak analog signal cables must be routed separately to avoid electromagnetic interference.
4. Wiring Precautions
All wiring operations must be carried out under the full power-off state of the entire Tricon safety rack;
Do not arbitrarily replace or modify the dedicated module-to-ETP connection cable;
After wiring, configure the signal range and channel parameters through TriStation configuration software before formal commissioning;
Triconex 3703E Product Advantages
1. Full TMR triple redundant hardware design with 2oo3 hardware voting, eliminating single-point failure and reaching top-level SIL3 safety rating for SIS systems;
2. Independent channel galvanic isolation, effectively suppressing industrial electromagnetic interference and avoiding cross-channel signal crosstalk;
3. Built-in real-time comprehensive fault diagnosis for each channel, rapidly locating abnormal sensor faults to reduce safety system blind spots;
4. Complete hot-swappable design, module replacement maintenance will not affect the normal logic operation of the entire safety instrumented system;
5. Two standard voltage signal modes (0-5V/0-10V) configurable via TriStation software, compatible with most industrial voltage-type sensors;
6. Perfect compatibility with all generations of Tricon main processors and rack backplanes, convenient for old safety system renovation and expansion;
7. Optimized EMC anti-interference structure, stable long-term operation in strong electromagnetic environments of chemical plants and power plants;
8. Global Schneider Electric official technical support and long-term stable spare parts supply chain, recognized by international ESD/F&G safety project standards.
