The ABB PFSK162 (3BSE015088R1) is a 24 V DC signal-conditioning and processing board for Advant/MasterPiece DCS that amplifies, filters and isolates 2–4 load-cell/mV inputs (gain 1–100, 0.08 Hz–100 kHz) into 4–20 mA/0–10 V outputs while adding 8 DI/8 DO, Ethernet/RS-232 and built-in load-cell excitation, serving as the tension-and-weight preprocessing hub in rolling, paper and process-control racks; in AC 800M contexts the same code is also shipped as a 384 W 24 VDC redundant power supply (16 A, 85–264 VAC in, hot-swap, active current sharing).

Preparations

Disconnect the system power before installation. Check the module for physical damage. Ensure sufficient ventilation space in the control cabinet.

Mechanical Mounting

Mount on standard TH35 DIN rail or matching ABB subrack. Hook the module onto the rail and push until locked firmly. Install end stops to prevent sliding under vibration.

Wiring Rules

Use shielded twisted-pair cables for analog signals. Wire strictly in accordance with the wiring diagram. Tighten terminal screws with appropriate torque. Separate high-voltage power cables from weak signal cables to reduce EMI.

Inspection Before Power On

Check wiring against short circuits and reverse polarity. Confirm correct DIP switch and jumper settings. Remove debris from terminals.

Power On and Commissioning

Switch on 24 VDC power supply. Check LED status indicators. Perform signal calibration and test 0~10 V / 4~20 mA analog signals.

Important Notes

IP20 rating, for cabinet indoor use only. Keep away from heat, moisture and corrosive atmosphere. Power off the whole system before module replacement.
