The Woodward 5453-829 is the MicroNet Plus 8-slot "short" VME control chassis (approx. 320 × 363 × 307 mm, ~16 kg, 19-inch rack/panel mount, IP20) that carries CPU5200 (400 MHz MPC5200), I/O, communication and 5466-series power modules on a single backplane, with 4 slots reserved for simplex or redundant supplies, support for redundant CPU with <1 ms bumpless transfer, hot-swappable modules, redundant real-time network (CAT-5 or fiber, up to 2 km) plus Ethernet/Modbus TCP/CANopen communications, and a 0–55 °C operating range with UL Class I Div. 2, CE, ATEX Zone 2 and ABS/DNV/LR approvals on an IEC 61508 SIL-3 capable platform .
