Installation Guidelines of Triconex 3664
The Triconex 3664 module features dedicated rack slot mounting, specially customized for Tricon SIS mainframe racks and incompatible with standard DIN rail mounting. It supports hot-swap replacement, enabling online installation and disassembly without shutting down the running system.
Prior to installation, confirm the system enters a safe maintenance state and inspect the module for complete and undamaged appearance. Insert the module horizontally into the empty slot of the Tricon chassis, push it steadily inward until it fully connects with the backplane interface, then tighten the front fastening screws to fix the module securely.
All field and system wiring shall comply with SIS safety isolation standards. Safety circuit cables must be separated from conventional control cables to prevent electromagnetic interference. Ensure all terminals are crimped tightly and the equipment is reliably grounded to satisfy system safety and anti-interference requirements.
For module disassembly, verify the system permits hot-swap operation first. Loosen the front fixing screws and pull the module out steadily to complete removal.
The module shall be installed in a dry, clean and well-ventilated cabinet. Adequate heat dissipation space must be reserved around the module. Installation and operation in high-temperature, vibrating and corrosive environments are prohibited to guarantee long-term safe and stable operation of the SIS system.
