T8300 ICS Triplex DCS Trusted TMR Expander Processor

The ICS Triplex T8300 is a SIL 3-certified Trusted TMR Expander Chassis/Processor that bridges the main controller’s fault-tolerant Inter-Module Backplane to remote I/O racks over the high-speed Expander Bus, using HIFT triple-modular-redundant (3-2-0) voting with 24 VDC redundant feed, natural-convection cooling and hot-swap capability. Rated 0–60 °C, IP20 front, IEC 61000-4 compliant and TÜV-approved to IEC 61508 SIL 3, it extends safety-critical ESD/F&G systems to thousands of I/O points while containing faults locally and maintaining 2oo3 operation on any single-path failure.

Input Signals

Power Input: Receives 24 V DC operating power steadily through the system chassis backplane, serving as the core power supply for module operation and internal circuit drive.

Backplane Bus Input: Adopts high-speed differential bus interface to receive real-time control commands, clock synchronization signals and system configuration data transmitted from the main processor unit.

Status Monitoring Input: Built-in internal signal acquisition function to continuously collect module operating status, bus communication quality and hardware health data for real-time system self-diagnosis.

Output Signals

Backplane Bus Output: Uploads field I/O operating data, module diagnostic results and status feedback information to the main controller via the chassis backplane bus to realize system data interaction and closed-loop control.

Status Indication Output: Drives front-panel LED indicators to visually display real-time working status, communication activity and fault alarm conditions of the module.

Note: This expander processor module is designed for system internal bus data interaction. It is not equipped with external analog and discrete field wiring terminals, and does not support direct field signal connection.
