Executing connection steps requires qualified electrical personnel. Power down the entire cabinet and verify that the internal DC Bus voltage has completely discharged (wait at least 5 minutes after disconnecting mains supply) before handling terminals.

Mounting and Grounding: Bolt the unit securely onto a grounded metallic backplane within the electrical cabinet to maintain structural stability and optimize EMC shielding. Ensure the top and bottom ventilation paths remain clear.

Control Power Hookup (24 VDC): Connect the auxiliary DC 24 V power supply to the designated control voltage inputs. This powers the internal CPU, encoders, and communication circuits independently from the main 3-phase line.

Fiber-Optic Ring Connection: Insert the SERCOS fiber-optic transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) cables into the corresponding ports. Ensure the minimum bend radius of the fiber optic cables is maintained to prevent signal attenuation.

Motor Power and Feedback Connections: Route the 4-core motor power cable (U, V, W, plus PE ground) from the motor to the drive’s output terminal blocks. Connect the motor encoder feedback cable to the drive's dedicated feedback interface connector. Ensure all shield clamps make direct, broad surface contact with the drive ground plane.

Safety and Signal I/O Wiring: Wire the "Inverter Enable" (ie-input) safety circuit through your system's emergency stop or safety relay contacts. Wire the standard digital inputs and diagnostic relay outputs according to your machine schematic.

Main Power Supply Connection: Wire the primary 3-phase AC line (380V - 480V) through a proper circuit breaker or fuse block to the L1, L2, and L3 mains terminals on the drive. If utilizing a residual current device (RCD), a Type B breaker with a 500 mA trigger threshold must be used due to the drive's operational leakage currents.

Final Physical Check: Double-check all terminal tightening torques, verify there are no stray wire strands creating short circuits, and confirm that the ground connections are perfectly continuous. Turn on the 24V control power first to verify initial firmware and communication status before applying 3-phase high voltage.
