ABB 1TGE102019R1001 (MLink Control Unit) I/O & Electrical Parameter Definition

Electrical Voltage & Current Ratings

Rated Power Supply Voltage: 24 VDC (Stable DC auxiliary power supply), allowable operating range: 18 VDC ~ 30 VDC. This voltage supplies working power for the internal CPU, communication circuit and bus interface module of the MLink unit.

Rated Operating Current: 120 mA (@24 VDC rated voltage). Maximum peak working current: 150 mA. The device features low power consumption and operates continuously without overload under normal MCC system working conditions.

Insulation & Withstand Voltage: Rated insulation voltage reaches 60 VDC, meeting low-voltage industrial control safety standards. The communication interface supports isolated signal voltage transmission to avoid interference from power loop fluctuation.

Operating Frequency: DC power supply, no frequency limitation; compatible with continuous long-term operation of industrial automation systems.

Input Definition

DC Power Supply Input: 24 VDC auxiliary power interface, used to provide stable operating power for the controller logic, data processing and communication modules, ensuring reliable startup and continuous operation of the MLink unit.

Internal MCC Bus Data Input: Adopts dedicated MCC system bus interface to receive real-time operating data from multiple MNS-iS motor starters, including three-phase current, voltage, active/reactive power, equipment running status, fault codes and system diagnostic alarm information.

Upper System Communication Input: Equipped with 2 × RJ45 Ethernet ports and reserved RS232/RS485 serial interfaces, which can receive remote control commands, parameter configuration instructions and reset signals issued by the upper DCS or PLC host system.

Note: This unit has no physical hard-wired discrete digital input (DI) or analog input (AI) terminals, and cannot directly collect field sensor analog or switch signals.

Output Definition

Internal MCC Bus Command Output: Through the dedicated MCC bus, it issues downward control commands including motor start, stop and fault reset to the connected MNS-iS motor starter protection units to realize remote logic control of motor equipment.

Upper System Communication Output: Uploads real-time motor operating parameters, historical fault logs, event records and system diagnostic status data to the upper supervisory control system via Ethernet and serial communication interfaces for remote monitoring and data archiving.

Note: The MLink control unit has no physical digital output (DO) relay contacts and analog output (AO) terminals, and cannot directly drive on-site field electrical equipment or execute power loop switching actions.

Functional Supplement

The ABB 1TGE102019R1001 MLink unit serves as a dedicated data gateway and command forwarding module for the MNS-iS MCC system. It is responsible for bidirectional data interaction between the low-voltage motor control center and the plant automation system. All physical field I/O acquisition and execution functions are independently undertaken by each motor starter module, not by the MLink control unit.

ABB 1TGE102019R1001 (MLink Control Unit) Main Characteristics

System positioning: Serves as a dedicated communication gateway and data concentrator within the ABB MNSiS lowvoltage MCC system. It acts as an intermediate bridge facilitating bidirectional data exchange between internal motor control modules and upperlevel automation platforms.

Connectivity capacity: Capable of interfacing with up to 60 MControl motor starter units over the proprietary internal switchgear bus. It enables centralized data acquisition and distributed command delivery for multiple motordriven equipment.

Supported industrial communication protocols: PROFIBUS DP / DPV1, Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP. The module operates as a fieldbus slave device for connection to host DCS and PLC systems.

Hardware interfaces: Equipped with dual RJ45 Ethernet ports, RS232 and RS485 serial interfaces, plus a dedicated MCCsystem bus connector for internal intermodule communication.

Builtin webbased MView function: Embedded web server allows local browserbased access for parameter setup, realtime status overview, alarm review and diagnostic troubleshooting, eliminating the need for dedicated configuration software.

Data processing capability: Collects realtime motor operational metrics such as current, voltage, power consumption, operating hours and contactor operation cycles. Fault codes, diagnostic alarms and timestamped event records can be uploaded to supervisory systems.

Command forwarding function: Converts remote start, stop and reset commands received from upper automation systems and routes these instructions to target MControl motor protection units.

System diagnostic feature: Executes automatic selfdiagnostics covering communication link status, bus integrity and module compatibility. Communication failures and abnormal operational events are stored in the internal event log.

Redundancy support: Supports dualMLink hotstandby configuration to enhance overall communication reliability of MCC sections deployed for critical production processes.

Power supply requirement: Powered by 24 V DC auxiliary supply with an allowable operating range of 1830 V DC. Low power consumption is optimized for cabinetbased installation.

Installation form: Designed for cabinet mounting inside MNSiS MCC cubicles. Cooling is achieved by natural convection with no fan required.

No direct field hardwired I/O: No physical DI/DO/AI/AO terminals are available on this unit. All fieldside signal acquisition and control execution are performed by downstream MControl modules.

Data export function: Enables export of configuration reports and event logs in CSV format to support commissioning activities, project documentation and routine maintenance.

Compliance: Complies with CE certification and applicable lowvoltag
