The GE IS215VPROH1B is a Mark VI stacked 6U VME VPRO emergency-protection processor that independently acquires 3–6 MPU speed inputs and 3–9 thermocouples, votes overspeed/speed-diff/exhaust-overtemp trips on a DSP+FPGA with sub-10 ms response and 9–12 relays to TREG/TRPG solenoids, backplane-powered at +12 V DC (~900 mA) with IONet diagnostics only — acting as the TMR-capable, control-independent last-line EOS/ESD safety core for gas/steam turbines where a UCV crash cannot defeat the trip.
