GE IS220YAICS1A Technical Specifications
Input & Output Channels
Analog Inputs: Supports up to 10 high-precision analog input channels.
Channels 1 through 8 can be individually configured for voltage (-10 V DC to +10 V DC) or current loops (0–20 mA DC).
Channels 9 and 10 support current loops with ranges of -1 V to +20 mA DC or -5 V to +5 V DC voltage inputs.
Analog Outputs: Provides two 0-20 mA DC current loop outputs for control/actuation adjustments.
Transmitter Power Supply: Built-in loop excitation power providing a nominal 24 V DC (ranging from 22.8 V DC to 25.2 V DC) to power external safety transmitters.

GE IS220YAICS1A Product Key Advantages
Certified Functional Safety: Designed and certified to meet SIL 2 and SIL 3 (Safety Integrity Level) requirements under the IEC 61508 standard, ensuring maximum dependability for emergency shutdown loops.
Advanced Hardware Diagnostics: Incorporates comprehensive, continuous internal monitoring including open-circuit detection, overcurrent clamps (up to 30 mA), loop faults, and hardware status LEDs.
Robust Synchronization & Redundancy: Fully supports Simplex, Dual, or TMR (Triple Modular Redundancy) control topologies to provide seamless failover capabilities without interrupting plant processes.
Hassle-Free Maintenance: Supports hot-swapping functionality, allowing engineers to replace a faulty module without having to power down the entire control rack or drop the safety loop.

GE IS220YAICS1A Wiring & System Integration
Connection Methods
The IS220YAICS1A does not use direct screw-terminal wiring on the pack body itself. Instead, it utilizes a modular, plug-and-play architecture:
Terminal Board Interfacing: The module directly plugs onto a compatible analog safety terminal board via a heavy-duty, multi-pin DC-37 connector.
Field Wiring: Field devices, sensors, and actuators are wired to the terminal board using secure screw-clamp or pluggable terminal blocks.
Network Wiring: Features dual 100 Mbps full-duplex RJ45 Ethernet ports to establish redundant network paths to the IONet infrastructure.
Power Connection: Draws operational power through a dedicated 3-pin connector tied back to a regulated 28 V DC (18–32 V DC range) system power supply source.
Compatible Terminal Boards
Standard Boards: IS200STAIS1A, IS200STAIS2A, and IS200TBAIS1C
RoHS Compliant & High-Density Alternatives: IS400STAIS1A, IS400STAIS2A, and IS400TBAIS1C
