1. General Connection Introduction
This Mark V turbine analog I/O board features four 34-pin ports (JA/JD/JE/JF), two 40-pin ports (JB/JG) and six configurable jumpers for signal mode adjustment. Ribbon cables are used for backplane and external terminal block connection.
1.1 Internal Backplane Wiring
JA/JD/JE/JF (34-pin): Link to the main control board for Q-Bus communication, +5V/±15V logic power and digital interlock signals; ensure full connector locking and gentle disassembly.
JB/JG (40-pin): Connect to external TBQC terminals for 4-20mA outputs, thermocouple and LVDT analog inputs.
Power supply: +5V and ±15V power is supplied uniformly by the TCPS power board through backplane gold fingers, with no external power wiring needed.
2. External Field Wiring
2.1 Analog Input Wiring
2-wire 4–20mA transmitters: Connect positive leads to JB/JG channel pins and negative leads to common GND; single-channel load resistance ≤500Ω.
LVDT sensors: Differential wiring to matched JB differential pins; cable shield grounds only at the cabinet ground bar.
Thermocouples: Compensation wires connect to designated JA cold-junction pins, separated from high-voltage cables.
2.2 Analog Output Wiring
4–20mA servo drive outputs: Positive pins connect to actuators, all channels share a common negative terminal.
±10V voltage outputs: Single-ended wiring with shield grounding limited to the cabinet terminal side.
2.3 Digital Signal Wiring
24VDC digital input: NPN sinking wiring; passive contacts bridge 24VDC positive and input pins with shared GND connection.
Relay output: Independent normally-open contacts for alarms and interlocks, polarity-free for resistive loads.
3. Wiring Rules & Notes
Cables: Shielded twisted cables for signals, standard copper wires for power, and original dedicated ribbon cables only.
Layout: Separate signal cables and high-voltage AC wires by over 15cm; shield single-point grounding with grounding resistance ≤4Ω.
Terminals: Fasten connectors completely; screw torque controlled at 1.2~1.8N·m against loose connections.
Operation: Cut off rack power before wiring; set jumpers J1-J6 prior to external cable installation.
Replacement: Follow the original pin-to-wire mapping strictly without random channel swapping.
