ABB BRC410 Standard Wiring & Connection Method
1. Power Wiring
Positive Terminal: Connect to stabilized 24 VDC industrial power supply positive pole;
Negative Terminal: Connect to power supply negative pole and system common ground simultaneously;
Wiring requirement: Use shielded DC cables, separate power wiring from signal wiring to avoid interference.
2. Backplane Bus Communication Wiring
Insert BRC410 into the designated controller slot of the Symphony Plus backplane;
Connect redundant communication cables between primary and standby BRC410 modules if redundancy configuration is adopted;
Ensure tight locking of module fixing screws to guarantee reliable backplane contact.
3. External Control Loop Bus Wiring
Four loop communication interfaces connect to corresponding field I/O station bus cables respectively;
All bus cables use dedicated ABB shielded differential communication lines, with both ends grounded;
Strictly follow system topological layout to avoid loop connection errors.
4. Wiring Precautions
Complete all wiring operations under power-off status of the control cabinet;
Do not mix strong current power cables and weak signal communication cables;
After wiring, perform communication address configuration via S+ Engineering Composer software before power-on test;
Regularly check grounding condition to ensure grounding resistance ≤4 Ω.
