ABB BC810K02 (3BSE031155R1) Concise Installation Steps

1. Preparation Work

Fully cut off the cabinet overall power supply to ensure complete power outage of the rack system; wear qualified anti-static wristband connected to cabinet grounding point to eliminate static electricity.

Visually inspect BC810K02 module, TP857 mounting baseplate, TK851 CEX-Bus dedicated cables and TB850 bus terminators, confirm no cracks, pin bending, oxidation, abrasion or deformation on all accessories. Prepare screwdriver and multimeter for subsequent inspection.

2. DIN Rail Baseplate Installation

Mount the TP857 baseplate onto standard TH35 top-hat DIN rail inside the control cabinet, push the baseplate horizontally until the buckle is fully clamped and fixed without sliding.

Connect the grounding terminal of the baseplate to cabinet equipotential grounding copper bar, guarantee stable and low-resistance equipment grounding. Reserve sufficient heat dissipation space around the baseplate, keep a clearance above 20mm between adjacent modules.

3. Module Installation and Locking

Align the golden finger connector on the back of BC810K02 with the socket on TP857 baseplate, insert the module horizontally and push steadily inward.

Press the module locking buckle on both sides until a clear click sound is heard, confirm the module is closely fitted and cannot shake or loose; avoid violent extrusion to prevent pin damage.

4. Wiring and CEX-Bus Connection

Connect 24VDC power lines to the dedicated power terminals of the baseplate strictly according to polarity definition, fasten terminal screws moderately to avoid loose wiring or thread slipping.

Use dedicated TK851 shielded cables for series connection between BC810K02 modules to build CEX-Bus link; keep signal cables separated from high-power power cables to reduce electromagnetic interference.

Install TB850 120Ω terminators at the two farthest endpoints of each independent bus segment; do not add extra terminators in the middle of the bus.

5. Pre-Power-On Comprehensive Inspection

Check all terminals, bus connectors and module buckles one by one to ensure tight fixation; use a multimeter to detect short-circuit risk between power positive and negative poles.

Detect the resistance of bus endpoints to confirm the terminator is normally 120Ω; double-check grounding continuity and cable wiring sequence to eliminate wrong wiring.

6. Power-On Commissioning and Verification

Restore cabinet 24VDC power supply slowly, observe the module indicator lights: keep PWR light always on steadily, RUN light constant on normally.

Observe bus fault indicator stays off, confirm no communication alarm; test upper system CEX-Bus online status, verify BC810K02 can normally interact data with SM810 controller, complete installation acceptance.
